The County Criminal Division provides efficient, courteous service to the public, the courts, law enforcement, state attorney, public defender, and other associated agencies in the processing of traffic and misdemeanor cases while developing our team to its fullest potential through cross-training and development of uniform procedures creating a happy and satisfying workplace.

This division processes cases and paperwork dealing with:

  • Parking Tickets
  • Animal, Marine and Traffic Infractions
  • Traffic Infractions
  • County and Municipal Ordinances and Misdemeanors.

Fine payments and not guilty pleas are accepted at all five branch locations. Fine monies collected and distributed according to Florida State Statutes and local County Ordinances in 2003 totaled more than $30,000,000.00.

In 2003 more than 1,000,000 documents were processed and 400,000 cases were filed.
