Official Records Update: Effective July 21, 2008, the Clerk & Comptroller’s office will provide quicker online access to the scanned images of documents recorded into the Official Records. Those documents will be posted at the time of recording and prior to being verified for accuracy. A verification process—which checks for accuracy, misspellings and proper indexing—will occur within two business days of the document being recorded and posted online. The Clerk’s office is not responsible for any errors that may be contained within these scanned images.

As County Recorder, we record and safeguard your documents in Palm Beach County’s Official Record. Access to documents such as mortgages, deeds, liens and judgments is critical for professionals in the title and real estate industry to ensure the safe transfer of property.

The Official Record consists of a searchable computerized index and links to digital images of documents dating back to 1968 (marriage license listings date back to 1909).  Both the index and images are available on computers in our offices and online at ClerkConnect/Official Record Listing.

The Clerk is sensitive to the competing demands of access to public information versus privacy. Our website provides helpful information about Official Records Privacy

By using advances in technology and input from our customers and partners, we have made access to the Official Record more convenient for the public and professionals. New services and system enhancements are added on a regular basis in anticipation of changes in customer demands. We encourage our users to contact us with suggestions for improving our system and services.
